Gratitude

• Had a fantastic lunch with the family for my sons birthday. I wish we could afford to do this more often.

Yesterday recap

Due to the time change, I woke up before 6AM. Felt a little energy so immediately got busy. I got all my week prep chores done before 10AM and updated Luanti on the gorls computers.

At 10AM my son came down and we watched some NFL until we needed to get ready to leave for our lunch. Its his birthday this week, so the whole family went to lunch. Since the van is falling apart, all 5 of us (with two car seats) crammed into my work truck (Chevy Colorado). It was tight, but we made it.

We met my oldest and their fiance there and had a great time. Food was okay, but it didn’t matter. All that mattered was that we were all together and having a great time.

After we hit a store and then came home. I moved everything back to the van and then re-loaded my truck for work.

We skipped dinner since we had a huge, late lunch. So, I just kind of milled around until the gorls went to bed. I had considered looking at Sway as the default DE on the Microsoft Surface RT TUI build. I watched a video of Sway and someone’s config and I ain’t doing all that work. I also know I don’t like tiling window managers very much and seeing how much extra config work I would need to do, instead of just using XFCE, I decided against it.

Wife and I had a snack in the evening, finished Baaghi 4, and called it.

How are you feeling today?

Anxious. I have a busy week for work, prep for my sons birthday, and the gorls have a doctors appointment. I’m waiting for a lot of payment from customers and its causing financial stress on the business. All year people have been slow to pay.

Todo

Chores

• 4 winterization stops and one has a repair in addition to the standard process.
• Do a quick vehicle maintenance check. I didn’t get to it yesterday and I try to do every Sunday.
• Put away BBQ and clean up the folding table. We will need the table for Thanksgiving.

Fun

• Watch WWE Monday Night Raw with the fam.

Projects

• Turn on prepper cyberdeck laptop and let it sync files. I also like to give some electrons to the flash drives in it every month or so. I should probably set up the entire kit and double check its functionality before we hit our severe weather season.
• Re-install Firefox (or derivative) on mobile. I’ve been using Vivaldi on mobile and Firefox on the desktop. Came to the realization I really don’t like Vivaldi.
