Yesterday recap

I felt so awful all day that I barely got anything done.

After breakfast I tried not to throw up for an hour or so and then worked at my desk. I got some of our annual biz accounting done. This is the time of year I have to submit all kinds of reports to the state, renew licenses, figure out what new “online portal” a government system switched to, etc. All of them are truly terrible and leaves me thinking I messed something up.

I also reviewed my /uses pages and made big updates to one. All the others were fine, except the page about my PC and server hardware. Published those updates and then got busy on some chores.

By the afternoon the rain had settled in and poured all day and night. About 2PM I saw that one post on the fence line was wobbly, so I went out and secured it. I obviously don’t have the money for any major fence repairs or to pay someone to replace it, so I have made braces for most of the posts to hold it together through the wind and wet season. This was one of the posts I thought was okay, so didn’t brace it before. Once it starts to wobble in the wind it will slowly work its way further and further back and forth until it falls. I think we this brace will be good enough to get through the winter.

Although we were watching for flooding, the real threat is tonight and Wednesday. Looking at the river report, flood stage is 10 and the river is currently at 7.31. We are expecting the same rain we got yesterday starting tonight and through Wednesday afternoon.

I then spent more time doing nothing and trying not to puke. I played a bunch of SSX 3, watched a little YouTube, and then we tried to watch Monday Night Raw. My “sources” weren’t working last night for whatever reason, so we watched the mens 2025 Royal Rumble and I will grab Raw a different way to watch today.

Dinner, bed time, and the wife and I watched Red One while I laid in bed.

How are you feeling today?

Better. About 70% of normal.

Chores

• Carry over: Run updates on the gorls computers. I have auto updates on, but I review once a month.
• Work. We need to do the mainline point of connection today, plus any hand digging along the trench line to prep for the bulk of the work to be done Wed. - Fri.

Projects

• Install a new battery in my phone. I can see on the USPS tracking it will be here today.
