Today’s recap
An exhausting workday.
Up a little earlier. No reason to be up earlier, I just woke up like a half hour before my normal time. My son is joining us for the rest of the week on this job, so I needed to make sure the truck was ready to have another person in it. My brother took my truck home so he can tow the trencher out today and I had his. The man sure knows how to trash a vehicle.
On site our goals were to get the whole backyard trenched and cleared and then run drip tubing through the hedge in the fronyard on the otherside of the sidewalk. We got the trenching done fast, even though we had to do more hand digging than normal. While running the trencher we saw an electrical box that was half buried in the center of the yard We hadn’t spotted it before because it was buried and rusted. It looked like another rock. Opening it we found a bunch of exposed wires that were still hot. We traced it back to where the wires were coming out of the house and guessed the path it goes through the yard. We were spot on and it was a good thing, too. The wires were barely 6 inches underground with no conduit. We would have trenched right through them. Instead we hand dug the area and found the wires and now we can adjust our plumbing.

Finished trenching, then cleared the trenches. Unfortunately, trenchers don’t leave a perfectly clean line. So, you have to go with a shovel back over the trenches and clear the loose dirt. We did the cutovers for the sprinklers and then took lunch. After lunch my brother went back up to Tacoma to get the parts and my son and I worked on the drip line. The hedge is existing and takes up the entire strip, so I had to pull the tubing through the center of a very dense hedge row. My arms are all cut and bruised.
Once we finished that we called it a day since we had to stop and get pipe so we can plumb the backyard tomorrow.
Got home, cleaned up, and started after care. Had tacos with soy curls. Well, everyone else had tacos and I had a bowl now that I know I’m allergic to corn.
FUCKING SUUUUUUUUUCKS.
However, I am feeling so much better and it has put me in a better mood. I desperately want tortillas, but I can’t argue with how much better I feel.
Checked on my seed starts and they are going well. I need to get a heat map. The seeds are definitely going slow because of the soil temps being cold.

We started watching The Pitt season 2 last night and tonight we are going to start the new season of Dark Winds.

Loose thoughts
My son is meeting up with friends near downtown Seattle this weekend. This means I’ll be hanging out in the Westlake area for a few hours. What’s good?
Someone mentioned the Seattle monorail and now I’m all
