Today’s recap

A weird day.

I woke up at 4:30AM and found misc. things to do until Wife woke up. I had thought maybe I could work on a project, but I ended up getting nothing done. Once Wife got up we had breakfast and I hung out for longer than normal. I had to work, but not on a jobsite. Instead, I needed to get parts and manage some backend office stuff. It was fine with me because the weather was awful today, pouring rain nonstop.

I left late morning to go to our supplier in Tacoma. Once I got a few minutes away the rain turned to snow. Heavy snow. It wasn’t sticking, except in the plants. But, it caused a lot of people to panic while driving. We don’t get a lot of snow around here, so no one is used to driving in it. I have a lot of practice. After getting our parts I headed back to Olympia to my sisters house who had a bag of misc. tech stuff for me. When I got to her house it was snowing there, too. From there I went to the pandaderia to get pastries for Wife’s upcoming birthday. Only rain there.

Once home (only rain) I hung out with the fam and worked on some business stuff in the office. I went out on the front porch and I saw water dripping down from the roof in a place where there should be no water. Not out the ladder and I can see the roof is leaking. Fuck me. Our roof extends over the front porch and so the roof leak is in the attic and then draining through the ceiling for the porch. I can see it leaking between two connecting plywood sheets.

Why is everything being so ridiculous in my life?

WWE Friday Night Smackdown, dinner, and then we are watching The Rock.

Projects

Spent a little time working on the PostmarketOS update scripts. Honestly, they work well. I hope I have more time next week to work on them. I have a busy weekend, so its gonna be on the back burner for a while.

Daily gratitude

• Grateful for my SIL. Its his birthday. He absolutely worships my oldest and makes her happy. I can’t ask for much more.
• Nice to have a 4x4 truck when its snowing.
• My littlest gorl specifically got candy at the store she could share with me. We both have allergies. ❤️

Tomorrow’s big thing(s)

Install an oven at my mom’s rental. I also have to do some other electrical work. I guess also climb on my roof and check out the leak spot.

Loose thoughts

I have learned I cannot eat any gluten-free foods either. I get more destroyed eathing that than I do actual wheat.
