Today’s recap

It has been a busy weekend.

Saturday had a lot of chores and I had to get busy right away. After breakfast I headed to my mom’s rental property. She needed to replace the oven/stove which was the falling apart. She ordered a new one and had it shipped to me a few weeks ago and then I scheduled with the tenant. While there I also needed to replace the front porch light and do pest control. Everything went smoothly. I had all the right parts with me and got it all done in about 3 hours. The only thing I didn’t get to do was an addon anyway. While replacing the front porch light I wanted to add an outlet for Xmas lights, front door cams, etc.. I thought I had all the parts I needed, but I didn’t have any romex wire. I have to go back in May for more pest control, so I’ll do it then.

On my way home I had to drop the old oven at the waste facility, get gas, and then hit the store for Wife’s birthday.

The weather was nice, so we grilled burgers and had a nice evening. We watched Lucha Libre AAA and then after the gorls went to bed we played Point Salad and then finished The Rock.

Today is Wife’s birthday and we had a whole day of activities planned. Had some of those pastries from the panaderia for breakfast and then the gorls wanted to take her to lunch. After lunch my oldest and her fiance came over and we spent all afternoon and evening hanging out. I made croissant breakfast sandwiches for dinner (Wife’s fave any time of day) and then my oldest brought the cake. Overall it was an overwhelming, but great day.

I’ve written a lot on here and Mastodon about Wife. I worship her. I can’t imagine my life without her. I’ve said it before: Without her I cease to be. I spend all my time with her and I do everything I can to never be apart. My only regret in life is I can’t spend two lifetimes with her. As we approach our 50’s I want to spend even more time together.

Tomorrow’s big thing(s)

We are installing a new section of drip irrigation at a repeat customers home. Should go easy, even in the rain.

Loose thoughts

I may be an asshole and a complete failure at everything. But, I got family right. Great kids, great Wife, amazing when we are all together. If I did nothing else good in life, I got this right.
