Gratitude

• Another month making a full payroll.
• Dry weather is making these winterizations easier.

Yesterday recap

I was out the door early to get to work. My first stop was way out the end of Cooper Point and then had 3 other stops. We started doing winterizations for our new commercial contract and I’m happy to get the new business. All of the properties for this new contract are rentals managed by the orgnaization, so it has put me into some newer neighborhoods. Two takeaways from these neighborhoods: The construction is awful and half of them are owned by investors. From the outside I can see shotty construction, siding that doesn’t line up, crooked fascia boards, window gaps, and more. Then, the streets are so narrow the garbage truck can barely fit down it. It is also obvious the majority of these new “affordable homes” have been bought by investors, which is sad.

When I got home I balanced our books and got payroll scheduled. I’m hoping for a big November. I need more in savings for the winter months.

While at my desk I went through the NAS and deleted some stuff, including a bunch of movies we will never watch again. Including the old backups I cleared about a terabyte of space. I think I can clear up another terabyte once I dig a little deeper. That will be a winter project.

Watched some wrestling, ate dinner, put the kids to bed and finished What We Do in the Shadows.

How are you feeling today?

Sore but rested. My stops yesterday included a property that has a huge hillside I need to carry my compressor up/down. I had been dreading it once I saw it on my calendar. For whatever reason I’ve been going to bed early lately, so don’t feel as tired. Money stress is starting to fall into the background noise.

Todo

Chores

• Empty the truck bed at EOD. Tomorrow I need to go to our most remote site and I don’t want to have the mini trailer attached for the compressor. I want to load the compressor straight into the truck.
• Busy work day. 5 winterizations plus meetup to exchange some parts with my brother.

Fun

• Watch Evil Dead 2 with the wife.

Projects

• Write more notes for the TUI-primary Microsoft Surface build. The Surface is running PostmarketOS. Had this idea and have been slowly adding notes before starting. I need to add more notes for what tools/apps I want to use.
