My new desktop from an awesome friend

Posted on Jul 7, 2025

A friend of mine, and just an all around good dude, Olympia Mike hooked me up with a new (to me) PC tower for my birthday over the weekend. I am so freaking excited. This PC is hands-down the most powerful PC I’ve ever owned and I can’t thank him enough.

This is just a quick post to show it off and give a huge thanks to Mike.

I spent some time today merging this PC with my existing desktop. Then I installed Bazzite on a separate drive so I can dual boot between my standard, every day work desktop, with a gaming PC. My previous desktop was a Dell small form factor PC I put into a new case and upgraded.

Merging the two, I now have an awesome desktop and can actually play games. I’m also pretty happy with how my cable management came out.

System specs

PC case is open, sitting on a desk upright, and can see the system components. The CPU is water-cooled with two Noctua fans mounted on the radiator. There are two front fans and one rear on the case. A solid copper heatsink is on the NVMe just above the GPU. The motherboard is accented with white heatshielding.

Back of the PC case with the panel removed, sitting on the same desk. The cabling is exposed and although tidy, not neat. There are several velcro ties holding the cabling together. In the bottom left are the two spinning disks. The bottom right is the PSU. Above the PSU on the right side is the Kingston SSD mounted flat.
