Why are you insulting people this way?

CW: This post mentions genitals. It discusses my confusion around insulting people by mentioning their genitals.

Why is it that when you see someone driving a lifted truck you mention their genitals? Huh? You see their big truck and you say, “They must have a small penis” or “They are compensating for something”. Why is it that when you see or hear about something you don’t like you want to mention their genitals?

Am I misunderstanding something? I mean, I get it. You don’t like this person and you feel like insulting them, for whatever reason. But, the insult you go to is their genitals? Why is that the first thing you think about?

I hate Trump, just like a lot of people. When he does something that angers me, I don’t think about his genitals. That’s weird. When someone is tailgating me in their huge truck, I’m not thinking about their genitals. That’s weird. When I shake someone’s hand and its smaller than mine, I don’t think about their genitals. That’s weird.

Why is it when you see that someone has small/big hands you think of their genitals? Same with feet? Why does it matter?

What is wrong with you?

Let me clarify some stuff for you.

Insulting people about something they can’t do anything about is lazy.

Insulting their genitals weird. Really fucking weird.

Even if you can find a reason to insult someone based on the size of their genitals, what are they supposed to do about it?

There’s nothing any of us with a penis can do about it. There’s not some exercise I can do. Its not like if I drive a compact EV that will magically make my penis size different.

I can’t do anything about my height, foot/hand size, eye color, and a myriad of other physical features. Insulting someone using these is lazy.

I’m all for insulting nazis, fascists, bigots, homophobes, misogynists, etc. They deserve it. But, you can do better than talking about their genitals. And there are lots of ways to insult them, especially because they’re dumb and that is something they did to themselves.

Last point here. When you insult someone’s genitals because you think its funny, you are also attacking people you care about who have a penis and body image issues. That man in the lifted truck will never hear your insult. However, your friend and/or husband will, and will affect how they think about themselves. The only people you are hurting are the people you supposedly care about, not the one that wronged you.

Do better.
